One to one and group lessons in Music, Maths, English, French, SEND
Sound of music teaching academy and Sound tuition was established to offer high quality teaching to children and adults. All needs, levels and ages are welcome.
Having many years experience in teaching Primary subjects, SEND, maths, English and French to KS3, learning is tailored to the needs of the individual including through learning style, level and enjoyment. A variety of learning including the national curriculum, white rose maths, QCA, songs, games and a creative approach.
Providing one to one and group tuition in a supportive environment.
Music can enrich lives in so many ways; socially, creatively, improving memory, academically and, best of all, the joy of making music.
Private lessons in flute, descant and alto recorders to advanced level, music theory, singing and beginner piano.
About Me
I always knew I wanted to work as a Primary School teacher and professional Music Teacher since I have a fierce love of working with people and sharing my true passion with them.
Since 1999, I have combined Primary School teaching in all subjects and coordinating music in schools including teaching choirs, whole class recorder and ukulele classes with private flute, recorder and piano teaching.
I now tutor Primary Maths, English, Music and French alongside Private flute, recorder, singing, music theory and piano lessons to children and adults.
No matter who I’m teaching, I thrive on seeing my students grow and develop as they discover what they can achieve.

Exploring the Basics
My teaching style focuses on skills and learning but also emphasises becoming an independent learner, developing potential and discovering a passion for something new.
Flute and recorder lessons
No matter your level of skill or experience, you’ll gain a lot from taking my Flute Lessons. Each class includes practical and theoretical instruction, along with plenty of time to put your new knowledge into practice. Contact me to find out about availability.

When you sign up for my Piano Lessons, you can be assured of plenty of individual attention and focus. Each lesson involves an element of learning and theory but the majority of the class is devoted to putting that theory into practice. Get in touch to find out more.
